SPECIAL EVENT:
INTRODUCTION TO RAT SPORTS WITH SHANNON DYCHTON

6:00 PM SEPTEMBER 1 2026

Shannon Dychton (802RATS) judges and hosts Happy Ratters workshops and events, and competes in Happy Ratters, Barn Hunt, and Earth Dog with their Bedlington Terriers. Your dog will meet live rats and try a novice/intro search, gaining experience applicable to any rat sport.

LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS . YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A GMDC MEMBER TO SIGN UP, BUT
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED
FOR A WORKING SPACE. (Watchers are welcome if the class is full)

(No rats are harmed in these sports. Rats are safely contained in protective tubes during search activities. They’ve been specially acclimated to being around dogs in accordance with strict protocols set by the Barn Hunt and Happy Ratters Associations, which also lay out requirements for their care, including socialization and enrichment. Rats must enter the tubes willingly and are checked frequently for signs of stress).
