  • Vermont Scenic Circuit Dog Shows

    Tunbridge Fairgrounds 1 Fairgrounds Land, Tunbridge, Vermont, United States

    MARK YOUR CALENDAR! The Vermont Scenic Circuit Dog Shows will be back again in Tunbridge, Vermont July 10-13, 2025. (Exhibitors, please note the superintendent this year will be Rau Dog Shows.) There will be four all-breed dog shows, obedience trials, and rally trials.  Junior Showmanship and National Owner Handler Series (NOHS) will be offered every day.  There is no charge for admission, and parking is free for spectators.  Prizes donated by West Lebanon Feed & Supply. Pee Wee Competition for children under the age of eight Saturday at noon.  Make your PeeWee entries in person under the club tent.  A maximum of ten children can participate.  OFA health clinic on Saturday -- CAER eye exams, BAER hearing tests, cardiac auscultation and ECHO.   Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted if time permits. Free ice cream social during Groups on Thursday and Friday.  Saturday night there will be the always popular BBQ with live music. Tickets for the BBQ are available online and at the Club Tent during the shows.

    OUR AUGUST MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 28 AT THE PLANETARY ART INSTITUTE, (CAMP MEADE), 961 US-2, MIDDLESEX, VT 05602 (In Camp Meade, near the Red Hen Bakery on Route 2 in Middlesex). Wonderful takeout available across the street at CHICO'S TACOS AND BAR. Plan to arrive early and order food to enjoy during the meeting!

    Green Mountain Dog Club meets (mostly) the fourth Thursday of every month from January through October in and around Waterbury, Vermont. (October is the Annual Meeting, November is our program meeting, and who knows what we might get up to in December).  We'll have coffee and goodies for those who attend in person, and a Zoom option for those who don't!

  • Lifetime Award Applications Due

    October 1, 2025 is the deadline to submit your application for the Green Mountain Dog Club award.  This lifetime achievement award  is typically given after a dog has retired from competition.  The plaque will be presented at the annual banquet.

  • FastCAT Fun Run October 4-5, 2025

    Join us for the Green Mountain Dog Club FastCAT Fun Run, June 7-8 at Dac Rowe Field in Waterbury, Vermont.  The Fun Run is untimed and unofficial -- a great way to start a new dog or just have fun! 

  • Title Award Deadline

    October 15 is the deadline to submit your title award application(s) for titles earned by member-owned dogs between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.  Award certificates will be presented at the annual meeting on October 27.

  • Annual Meeting and Dinner

  • November Meeting: What Can Your Dog Do?

    OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! From FastCAT to Rally Obedience, Agility to Dog Sledding, there are so many fun things to do with your dog!  Join us at Crossett Brook Middle School in Duxbury on November 1 to learn more about dog sports and activities.  Members of the Green Mountain Dog Club will be there to offer demonstrations  in the center ring, share photos and materials to help you get started, and answer questions. Do you have a rescue or mixed breed?  No problem -- we can help you sign your dog up for a Canine Companions number or Purebred Alternative Listing that will allow you to compete in AKC event   NOTE:  THIS IS A DEMONSTRATION AND Q&A EVENT.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR OWN DOGS AT HOME. (THIS TIME!  WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO OFFER A "TRY IT" EVENT SOON)!

  • JANUARY BOARD MEETING

    The January Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 PM via Zoom.  Board members should receive a Zoom link via email along with the meeting notice.  (It's the same Zoom link as the general meeting -- all members are welcome to listen in).
