  • FastCAT Fun Run October 4-5, 2025

    Join us for the Green Mountain Dog Club FastCAT Fun Run, June 7-8 at Dac Rowe Field in Waterbury, Vermont.  The Fun Run is untimed and unofficial -- a great way to start a new dog or just have fun! 

  • Title Award Deadline

    October 15 is the deadline to submit your title award application(s) for titles earned by member-owned dogs between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.  Award certificates will be presented at the annual meeting on October 27.

  • Annual Meeting and Dinner

    Join us on October 27 at 6 PM for an evening of fun and good food when the Blackback Pub in Waterbury opens its doors exclusively for the Green Mountain Dog Club annual meeting and dinner.   • November Meeting: What Can Your Dog Do?

    OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! From FastCAT to Rally Obedience, Agility to Dog Sledding, there are so many fun things to do with your dog!  Join us at Crossett Brook Middle School in Duxbury on November 1 to learn more about dog sports and activities.  Members of the Green Mountain Dog Club will be there to offer demonstrations  in the center ring, share photos and materials to help you get started, and answer questions. Do you have a rescue or mixed breed?  No problem -- we can help you sign your dog up for a Canine Companions number or Purebred Alternative Listing that will allow you to compete in AKC event   NOTE:  THIS IS A DEMONSTRATION AND Q&A EVENT.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR OWN DOGS AT HOME. (THIS TIME!  WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO OFFER A "TRY IT" EVENT SOON)!

  • JANUARY BOARD MEETING

    The January Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 PM via Zoom.  Board members should receive a Zoom link via email along with the meeting notice.  (It's the same Zoom link as the general meeting -- all members are welcome to listen in).

  • FastCAT Fun Run

    Join us May 2-3 2026 at Dac Rowe Park in Waterbury for GMDC's Spring FastCAT Fun Run. What is FastCAT? Think of it as a 100-yard dash for dogs. From couch potatoes to conditioned athletes, canine competitors have a chance to stretch out and run their fastest in a safe space, chasing a lure that is fairly accurately described as a trash bag on a string, while their humans clap and cheer them on. The Fun Run is open to dogs of all breeds, and mixed breeds too! This is a non-sanctioned event for fun and practice -- it's a great way for new or inexperienced dogs (and handlers) to try one of AKC's most popular sport. No experience is necessary, but you do have to pre-register. We'll tell you everything else you need to know and what to bring in the confirmation email you'll get after you sign up.   • May Board Meeting

    The May meetings of the Green Mountain Dog Club will be held on Thursday, May 21st in person at the Duxbury Town Office Select Board Room, 5421 VT Route 100, Duxbury VT, 05676 or via Zoom (see below for links] Board Meeting 6:30 PM General Meeting 7:30 PM Meetings are now the third Thursday of the month!!!!  And because it's summer, (or at least no longer winter), we are also meeting  in person.  Bring a snack to share if you can! If you are joining us via Zoom,  please note that the Board Meeting and the General Meeting now have separate links. If you are attending both meetings (all members are welcome to sit in on board meetings), you will have to exit the board meeting before 7:30 and sign back into the General Meeting.
